The role defines which merchant segments to prioritize, builds activation and engagement playbooks, and collaborates cross-functionally to unlock commercial impact—driving profitable GMV, category depth, and long-term merchant retention.Key Responsibilities:Category & Merchant StrategyDevelop merchant and category growth strategies, including prioritization of segments, verticals, and scalability pathsTranslate ecosystem signals and merchant insights into decisions around prioritization, enhancements, and commercial opportunitiesPartnerships & Merchant LifecycleLead merchant partnership orchestration end-to-end (commercial alignment, activation, integration, joint initiatives, and performance optimization)Work closely with Sales & Partnerships to drive onboarding, activation, expansion, and retention across merchant lifecycleShape merchant playbooks and lifecycle frameworks that accelerate time-to-value and improve engagement, repeat contribution, and ecosystem depthCommercial Constructs, GTMs & CalendarsDesign and operationalize commercial constructs (pricing, incentives, promotions, and value propositions) to drive utilization, penetration, and profitabilityDevelop merchant-facing GTMs for new offerings, programs, and category initiativesBuild and manage category and merchant calendars, commercial campaigns, and joint planning cyclesPerformance & ExperimentationRun experiments/A-B tests across segmentation, incentives, communications, and lifecycle interventions to improve ecosystem outcomesMonitor merchant KPIs (activation, GMV, revenue contribution, retention, churn, and category depth) and drive continuous improvementCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Commercial to enhance merchant experience, improve tooling, and increase feature utilizationDrive ecosystem scaling efforts to expand merchant contribution, profitability, and long-term valueRequirements3+ years experience in Growth, Category/Merchant, Strategy, B2B Marketing, or similar commercial ecosystem rolesExperience in FinTech or similar ecosystem-driven environments is a plusStrong analytical and commercial acumen; comfortable with economics, segmentation, incentives, and data-informed decision makingExperience working cross-functionally with Sales, Partnerships, Product, Operations, or MarketingFamiliarity with pricing models, partnerships, incentives, category dynamics, or merchant economicsExposure to lifecycle, segmentation, or retention frameworks preferredEffective communicator with strong stakeholder management skillsCurious, experimental, and iteration-oriented mindsetBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, or related field
