When we come together – where every voice is heard and everyone knows they belong and matter – we create solutions that launch people into space, support lifesaving care in hospitals, and enable the construction of groundbreaking, world scale production facilities.Reimagine What’s Possible Job Description Summary:Reporting to the Plant Head (Facility Manager or his delegate), The Plant Operation and Maintenance Technician (N2H2) is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Nitrogen and SMRs units based on the Air Products Sadat Plant.Working alongside the AP personnels at site to ensure smooth and reliable operation and maintenance of all aspects of the Air Products Sadat facility.Principal AccountabilitiesUnderstand all relevant EH&S regulations applicable to the facility and develop plans on how they will be implemented at the facility to ensure compliance.Understand and implement Air Products EH&S work processes including emergency preparedness and incident management.Report, and where possible, eliminate all potential hazards by using the Air Products Basic Safety Practice (BSP) system.Regularly participate in site and operations safety meetings to ensure all safety related issues are identified, discussed, understood and then successfully resolved.As part of the on-call team, responsible for the security and safety of site, liaise with the customer as appropriate.Maintain company rules for discipline, punctuality, absenteeism, etc.,Maintain good housekeeping and tidiness in the facility.At all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Support of all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the N2H2 plant, including troubleshooting plant process problems, carrying out the daily plant activities and participating in the plant projects.Ensure that customer requirements are met at all times, by direct liaison and administration of the site quality procedures.Working with AP personals at site and support resources to achieve productivity targets.have expert knowledge of and to operate and maintain all systems, identified under job dimensions’ section so that the optimum performance and reliability is achieved at all times.Make entries into plant logbook to include all operating data, messages, unusual events, work done & spares used.Liaise with personnel oncoming to site to communicate plant conditions, work instruction; existing work permits in force etc. Collect production data, check for errors or signs of plant problems. Be able to resolve discrepancies prior bringing to the attention of Facility Manager.Carry out routine and specific work tasks as directed by Facility Manager or his delegate and to be able to identify work required.Start, stop and isolate equipment and unit processes as required.To be fully conversant with all modifications carried out on site as the plant/customer requirements dictate.As and when possible, learn to operate any other plants in the facility to allow more flexibility in working arrangements.During plant shutdowns maintain overall control of safety and operation on the plant. Provide assistance and support to the team performing the maintenance. Provide technical, operational and trouble-shooting assistance at the facility as and when required. Ensure that routine maintenance as designated by the SAP PM system and non-routine maintenance as and when required, is diligently performed to the necessary standards, utilizing the resources within the plant and outside resources where required (contract labor / outside technicians).Work with minimal supervision on the Air Products, site - designated continuous shift or “On – Call” system. This requires working and managing all job activities, for periods of time up to and beyond a full shift period, when circumstances make this necessary.Respond to critical alarm dial outs from the Plant (or by other contact from customer etc.) by remote connection to site to ensure product supplies remain on line to customer as required.Carry out remote start-up of Plant/equipment as and when required during period On Call.Provide cover as required and when available and where available.SkillsMinimum 5 years’ experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries. Experience in operations, maintenance, or monitoring of industrial process plants.Good interpersonal and communication skills. A dedicated and driven approach & be committed to getting it right with a never-ending desire to learn, improve & contribute.
