About the Job:The Packaging Engineer is responsible for managing In-house, Imported & local suppliers’ packaging, including developing, supporting new launch activities, organizing plant reviews, coordinating approvals, monitoring container performance, resolving packaging quality related issues, and supporting lean manufacturing strategies. This role drives daily operation execution with lean thinking and leads packaging development and PFEP implementation.Responsibilities:Daily Operational Execution Organizes plant reviews / buyoffs of test shipping packs and racks through packaging committee meeting for any supplier’s container.Coordinate - cross-functionally - with internal / external parties to get the Packaging Approval Forms for suppliers’ containers, then support to be fully signed by all committee members.Review, analysis & improve waste in current Imported / Local packaging containers.Regular audit for Packaging / Labeling criteria compliance for suppliers’ containers.Team Leadership & SafetyLead daily operations to resolve Packaging and PFEP issues.Conduct problem-solving for safety and quality issues related to handling / packaging.Packaging Development & PFEPMaintains standard pack data and informs affected parties of changes through PFEP SummaryManage – cross-functionally – local supplier returnable containers with loop size calculation.Develop containers (racks) for internal, local, and overseas packaging as conceptual designLead lineside part presentation workshop to align cross functionally for new packaging design and parts distribution strategy including racks’ location, footprint, orientation & pack quantity to eliminate waste and improve lean culture.Manage new model racks’ fabrication and delivery ensuring sample complying with scope of work and adhering to new model launch milestones along with the assigned budget.Safely control in-house / local packaging development and maintenance processQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field with 1-3 years hands-on experience in warehousing, supply chain, or transportation within automotive/manufacturingSAP and WMS knowledge (advantage)CAD 3D software proficiency (AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks)MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project)Strong communication and leadership skillsAnalytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to manage competing priorities and work under pressureNegotiation and situational management skillsTeam player, self-motivated, resilient, adaptable to change
