The British International School, Cairo, is seeking to hire a competent person who is able to provide a professional, confidential, and comprehensive personal assistance and administrative support service to the Principal. The post-holder will act as the primary point of contact for the Principal's office, managing a complex and demanding workflow with discretion and efficiency. This role is pivotal in facilitating communication between the Principal, staff, parents, Board of Governors, and external stakeholders. 1. Key Responsibilities1.1 Executive & Administrative SupportDiary Management: Proactively manage the Principal's complex calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and events. Prioritise conflicting demands to ensure the Principal's time is used effectively.Inbox Management: Screen, prioritise, and respond to emails and correspondence on the school’s general email inbox or forward and follow up on messages where appropriate.Communication & Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for the Principal's office, handling inquiries with professionalism and warmth from staff, students, parents and other parties.Document Preparation: Prepare, edit, and format high-quality reports, presentations, letters, and meeting agendas and minutes with a high degree of accuracy and in line with the school's practice.Office Systems: Maintain an efficient filing system (both electronic and paper) for the Principal's office, ensuring quick retrieval of documents and information. Manage office supplies/stationery and equipment for the Principal's office.1.2 Operational & Strategic Support:Project Assistance: Support the Principal with special projects, research and initiatives as directed. Person Specification2.1 Qualifications and ExperienceEducation: University graduate.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a similar senior administrative role, preferably within an international school or educational environment.Experience in supporting senior-level management is essential.2.2 Skills and KnowledgeOrganisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the proven ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.Technical Proficiency: Expert user of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
