The Presales Consultant is responsible for supporting the sales process by translating customer business needs into suitable technical and commercial solutions. The role acts as a bridge between the sales team, customers, delivery teams, and technology partners to ensure that proposed solutions are well-positioned, feasible, competitive, and aligned with customer objectives.The Presales Consultant works closely with account managers to understand customer requirements, qualify opportunities, prepare solution approaches, develop proposals, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and present the proposed value proposition to customers. The role requires a strong combination of business understanding, technical awareness, communication skills, and proposal development capabilities. Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze customer requirements, RFPs, RFIs, and business challenges to identify the most suitable solution approach.Work with sales, delivery, product, and technical teams to design high-level solutions that meet customer needs.Prepare technical and commercial proposal content, including scope of work, solution descriptions, assumptions, exclusions, implementation approach, timelines, and effort estimates.Support customer meetings, discovery workshops, solution presentations, and demonstrations.Translate business requirements into clear solution narratives and value propositions.Coordinate with internal teams to validate feasibility, delivery approach, risks, dependencies, and cost estimates.Ensure proposals are complete, professional, compliant, and aligned with customer evaluation criteria.Identify solution differentiators, added value, and competitive advantages.Support opportunity qualification by assessing scope clarity, technical fit, delivery readiness, risks, and commercial viability.Maintain reusable proposal content, templates, case studies, and solution references.Stay updated on company offerings, technology trends, partner solutions, and market needs.Required Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of IT solutions, digital transformation, software implementation, and enterprise platforms.Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into structured solution proposals.Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.Good understanding of proposal development, RFP responses, estimation, and solution positioning.Ability to work with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in business language.Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, implementation lifecycles, and common solution architecture concepts.Preferred Experience6+ years of experience with at least 3 years in similar positionExperience in presales, solution consulting, business analysis, technical consulting, or proposal management.Exposure to enterprise applications, low-code platforms, cloud solutions, data platforms, AI solutions, CMS platforms, or system integration projects.Experience working with government, public sector, or enterprise customers is a plus.Familiarity with preparing scope of work, assumptions, timelines, effort estimates, and commercial inputs.Intensive experience working with AI tools e.g., claude, lovable, NotebookLM, Gamma … etc.
