Job PurposeThe Procurement Assistant Manager supports the execution of procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency, timely availability of materials, and supplier performance. The role focuses on operational procurement activities, supplier coordination, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Operations & ExecutionExecute procurement plans in line with approved strategies and business requirements. Ensure timely sourcing and purchasing of materials, services, and supplies. Follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any supply issues. Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and system updates. Supplier Coordination & SupportSupport in identifying and evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance. Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure service reliability. Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues when needed. Assist in supplier onboarding and documentation processes. Cost Control & AnalysisSupport cost-saving initiatives and track procurement savings. Conduct price comparisons and market analysis to ensure competitive sourcing. Assist in budget tracking and cost monitoring activities. Compliance & Process AdherenceEnsure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures. Support implementation of procurement processes, controls, and documentation standards. Ensure proper approvals and documentation for all procurement transactions. Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate with Planning, Operations, Finance, and Warehouse teams to ensure alignment on requirements and deliveries. Support internal stakeholders in fulfilling procurement needs efficiently. Team Support & DevelopmentSupervise procurement officers/buyers on daily operational activities. Provide guidance and support to ensure team efficiency and accuracy. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is a plus. 5–8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.
