A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. The role will be based Cairo and will play a key part in ensuring cost optimization, supplier performance, and operational continuity across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational objectives and cost efficiency targets.Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier identification, evaluation, and contract negotiation.Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure competitive pricing, service quality, and supply continuity.Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, and payment terms with vendors to maximize value for the organization.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and service-level agreements.Collaborate closely with operations, production, finance, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with operational needs.Conduct market intelligence and cost benchmarking to identify opportunities for savings and procurement optimization.Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.Manage inventory planning and material availability to prevent stock shortages while optimizing working capital.Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier dependency and market volatility.Lead and develop the procurement team, fostering performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.7–10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial sectors is highly preferred.Solid understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and procurement analytics.Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction initiatives and operational efficiencies.Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Excellent communication and leadership capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.Fluent English is required; additional languages are considered an advantage.Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or PMP are a plus.
