Job Summary:This is a vital, dual-purpose role that bridges the gap between scientific precision and operational leadership. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations on the production floor while taking hands-on responsibility for the accurate weighing, mixing, and compounding of raw fragrance materials. The goal is to ensure all production targets are met with strict adherence to quality, safety, and operational excellence.### Key Responsibilities:1. Mixing & Compounding (Technical Operations) * Formula Execution: Accurately read and interpret fragrance formulas, executing precise measurements and weighing of raw essential oils, alcohol, and solvents. * Chemical Processing: Oversee the blending and homogenization of ingredients, ensuring the safe and precise handling of fixatives and raw materials, including components like cetyl alcohol, to maintain formula integrity. * Quality Control: Conduct preliminary quality checks by drawing samples during and after the compounding phase. Ensure scent profile, color, and specific gravity meet exact standards before releasing the batch for maceration, chilling, and filtration. * Batch Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of batch numbers, raw material consumption, and waste percentages in the production logs.2. Production & Supervision * Team Leadership: Directly supervise floor workers, technicians, and operators. Assign daily tasks and coordinate workflows to ensure production targets are achieved on schedule. * Operational Monitoring: Oversee the performance of mixing and filling machinery. Quickly troubleshoot and resolve any sudden bottlenecks or technical issues on the line to minimize downtime. * Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Enforce strict compliance with occupational safety standards. Ensure all personnel utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE), particularly when handling highly flammable materials such as alcohol. * Continuous Improvement: Track production metrics and report to the Production Manager with actionable recommendations for reducing waste and optimizing raw material usage. Technical Skills: Deep understanding of chemical properties, solvents, and the interaction of fragrance raw materials. High proficiency and precision in using sensitive scales and laboratory measuring equipment. Management Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, effective time management, and the ability to solve problems under pressure while guiding a team. * Languages: Proficiency in English is essential for reading formulas, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and technical material specifications.
