Responsibilities:Assists in the development and implementation of departmental policies, regulations, and proceduresDirects the preparation of the departmental capital and operating budgetAssists with the development and implementation of department goals, long range strategies, and schedulesReviews budget requests and makes funding recommendationsDirects the study of department operationsPrepares and presents reports to senior management and the Board of DirectorsOversees and approves the preparation of comprehensive proposals, contracts, applications for funds, and reportsPerforms complex cost, budgetary, and statistical analysisPerforms special projects such as comprehensive proposals, contracts, applications of funds, and complex confidential reports as assignedOversees the services and budgets of consultants and contractorsAccounts for compliance with all of Metro’s safety rules, polices, and proceduresManages department operations including developing, monitoring and adhering to Metro’s policies/procedures, budget and achieving units goals and objectivesMaintains, supports, and promotes a safe work environment while complying with all of Metro’s safety rules, policies, and proceduresQualifications:Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in project controlsFour-year college degree in Business, Public Administration, or other related field is preferred Experience performing budgetary, administrative, operational systems support and facility planning work Knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of public administration, management, organization, budgeting and financial administration, personnel administration, grants administration, and cost accountingMaster’s degree in a related field is desirableMust have received or be willing to receive the Covid-19 vaccination by date of hire. Medical or Religious exemptions will be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
