Job PurposeSenior project manager responsible for overseeing building projects from start to finish. Duties include hiring labor, negotiating contracts, and obtaining all necessary permits for the site. Manage oversight across development areas to ensure project success, on time and within budget. Lead the preparation of financial and technical documentation for the project; develop, update, and amend the project study as required. Participate in bidding, contracting, and awarding processes; evaluate invitations, bids, and prepare recommendations and reports. Draft and manage contracts with contractors and supervision/management consultants. Monitor contract performance, ensuring consultants and contractors fulfill their roles within the implementation period and budget. Oversee quality control and conformity of works per contracts; verify contractor performance against contractual duties. Review consultant and contractor deliverables and ensure compliance with legal and contractual conditions. Track implementation plans and schedules; compare actual progress with plans, analyze deviations, and prepare monthly corrective action reports. Provide early warnings of potential delays to consultants and contractors (e.g., material shortages, foreseeable risks). Supervise health and safety compliance and preventive measures on site to prevent accidents. Apply financial penalties for non-performance or material/tals deviations as stipulated in contracts. Resolve obstacles or problems encountered during project execution. Review and assess changes, additional work proposals, and their impact on the project schedule and budget. Oversee the study and approval of financial claims from consultants and contractors. Maintain an organized project archive and database for easy retrieval; keep planned activity databases up to date. Participate in contractor evaluation and exclusion when quality standards or industry principles are not met. Submit recommendations and plans to ensure project success, optimal resource use, and maximum economic return. Supervise contract terminations and the handover of completed works at each project stage. Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management or the line manager.Qualifications & Experience 12+ years of experience in construction. BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment. Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Good physical condition.
