Role ConsiderationsMaintaining consistency in testing practices across diverse projects and teamsAdapting testing approaches to rapidly evolving technologies and system changesBalancing manual and automated testing to meet tight sprint deadlinesEnsuring test coverage and reliability across multiple environments and channelsJob Description• Plan and coordinate testing activities by following structured processes and predefined schedules to ensure timely and organized execution across all phases of the project.• Prepare test plans and user acceptance testing (UAT) documents by analyzing business and technical requirements to provide clear direction for testing and confirm that the system meets user expectations.• Design, write, and execute test cases (manual and automated) by using tools such as Selenium, Java, TestNG, and Postman to validate system functionality, integration, and performance efficiently.• Analyze user stories, requirements, and test outcomes by analyzing documentation and executing tests to identify defects early and ensure alignment with business needs.• Log and escalate issues by reporting bugs in Jira and preparing detailed reports for daily meetings to facilitate prompt resolution and informed decision-making.• Contribute to sprint planning and Agile ceremonies by estimating testing efforts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align deliverables with timelines and development capacity.• Execute various levels of testing—including Functional, Integration, System, Performance, and Regression—by applying appropriate test strategies and frameworks to ensure comprehensive validation of the software’s quality and reliability.• Guide and support junior test engineers by providing training, best practices, and regular feedback to enhance team competency and maintain consistent testing standards.• Handle testing across platforms and environments by coordinating tests on desktop, web, and mobile systems in various staging setups to ensure consistent user experience and system performance in real-world conditions.• Create training materials, technical documentation, and user manuals by documenting key processes and system usage instructions to support end users in adoption and troubleshooting post-deployment.Standardized Responsibilities by Job Level:Policies, Processes, and Procedures:• Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Day-to-Day Operations:• Follow and implement the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work within required SLA.Compliance:• Comply with all relevant regulations and internal policies and code of conduct to maintain sound legal position and mitigate any potential risk.KPIs• Defect Detection Rate• Test Case Coverage• Automation Execution Rate• Defect Reopen Rate• Test Execution TimelinessInternal and External StakeholdersInternal Stakeholders:• Development Team• Project Managers• Business Analysts• IT Operations TeamExternal Parties:• Software Vendors• Third-party Service Providers• Clients (for UAT and issue resolution)• External Test Tool Providers
