Job Description:As the leader of the Serial Life team, you will serve as the Technical Referent and primary guardian of all R&D databases, ensuring total data integrity and application of synchronized standards across multiple manufacturing sites. You will drive operational excellence by balancing ECR coordination with NPI support, providing R&D sub-functions with the critical data and resources needed for successful product launches. Beyond database governance and technical labeling management, you will act as a key mentor, spearheading the technical onboarding and continuous training of R&D engineers to maintain high domain expertise. This leadership role is vital for bridging local operations with global group-level systems, ensuring that product identification and technical workflows remain consistent and optimized throughout the entire product lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:1. Management of Serial Life Team- Lead and develop the Serial Life team, providing mentorship and technical guidance to ensure high performance.- Manage departmental priorities, balancing resources between daily maintenance, Engineering Change Request (ECR) coordination, and active project support.- Represent the department as the primary voice of Serial Life in local and global R&D/Operations meetings to drive operational efficiency and alignment.Cross-Functional Project & NPI Support- Serve as a central partner for R&D sub-functions (Project Managers, Design, Certification, and Innovation), ensuring they have the technical data and resource allocation required for successful New Product Introduction (NPI).3. Global Systems & Data Governance- Act as the Global Referent for the local site R&D at the group level, coordinating all activities related to database updates, system implementations, and structural system changes.- Establish and enforce unified data entry standards across the organization to ensure all databases remain in optimum, synchronized condition.- Assume direct accountability for the integrity and accuracy of all R&D-related databases.4. Multi-Site Coordination & Problem Solving- Govern cross-site synchronization, acting as the main contact for supporting other manufacturing sites with complex problem-solving or resource sharing.5. Knowledge Management & Technical Training- Domain Expertise: Serve as the go to person for Serial Life processes, ensuring that all engineers—from Design to Innovation—are fully aligned with the latest ECR protocols and data management procedures.- Best Practices Documentation: Develop and maintain a "Technical Knowledge Base" (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure institutional knowledge is captured and accessible across all sites.Onboarding & Mentorship: Act as the lead mentor for all new R&D engineers, designing and delivering comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure rapid integration into our systems and standards Experience:6+ years of experience in an R&D or Manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role leading technical teams with similar scope.Proven track record in managing product lifecycles, Engineering Change Requests (ECR/ECO), and mass production technical support—ideally within the household appliance or HVAC industry.Mastery of ErP systems is a must, specifically within the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), MM (Materials Management), R&D. SAP is preferred.Understanding of barcode standards (GS1), labelling logic, and how physical identification integrates with ERP databases.Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel Power Query, etc.) to audit and "clean" complex databases efficiently is a plus.Languages: Arabic, English, and French (nice to have) – spoken and written
