Job Purpose:The Record to Report (R2R) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing General Ledger accounting and the end-to-end financial closing process to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting. The role supervises month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, reviews balance sheet reconciliations, manages financial reporting requirements, supports internal and external audits, and ensures compliance with IFRS, company policies, and internal control standards. The position also drives process improvements and leads the R2R team to deliver high-quality accounting operations.Key Responsibilities:Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities and ensure adherence to reporting deadlinesReview and approve journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policiesOversee General Ledger accounting activities and maintain the integrity of financial recordsReview and approve balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding itemsSupervise the accounting and reconciliation of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposalsReview monthly accruals, provisions, payroll-related entries, and other accounting adjustmentsPrepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules for corporate reportingEnsure compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, company policies, and internal control proceduresCoordinate internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and responding to audit inquiriesIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency, reporting quality, and internal controlsSupervise, coach, and develop the R2R team, ensuring effective workload distribution and performance managementCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and FP&A, to ensure accurate financial reporting and issue resolutionSupport ERP (SAP) enhancements, finance transformation initiatives, and system improvement projectsMonitor accounting risks and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial accuracy and complianceQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related fieldProfessional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferredMinimum of 6–8 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory roleStrong experience in Record to Report (R2R), General Ledger accounting, financial closing, and financial reportingExperience with SAP ERP (SAP FI) or a similar ERP system is highly preferredSound knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and internal controlsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines
