About the RoleAs Trade Compliance Manager for the IMEA region, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring companies' products and services cross borders efficiently and compliantly. You will oversee trade operations and compliance activities, design and implement robust processes, and provide strategic leadership to ensure the business maintains a competitive advantage in international trade.Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance:· Advice on IMEA customs issues, export controls, sanctions, and governmental licensing. Ensure mechanisms are in place for compliance with all relevant trade laws and corporate programs. Including restricted and prohibited countries internal policies.Monitoring & Communication:· Track and communicate changes in international and regional trade laws and regulations, translating them into actionable guidance for business operations.Stakeholder Engagement:· Influence and collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including supply chain to coordinate import/export control licenses and compliance initiatives as well division leaders, local RA leaders and global RA teams.Project Leadership:· Lead regional and global projects to design and integrate trade compliance rules into business and functional procedures.Team Leadership and people training· Maintain and lead a team of trade specialists (with operational support in India), ensuring effective management of shipment handoffs between regulatory trade and logistics.· Develop business procedures and deliver training for regional teams, ensuring understanding and adherence to compliance requirementsProcess Design & Oversight:· Identify and address gaps in international product movements, developing and implementing processes to ensure smooth shipment flows and compliance with all internal and external regulations.· Develop and implement technology strategies to streamline trade compliance processes and mitigate risks.· Lead and support audits, risk assessments, and investigations, both internally and with external regulatory agencies.Desired Characteristics· Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.· 10+ years of experience in the same field· Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.· Project management experience.· Knowledge of corporate compliance programmes and culture.· SAP background is preferable· HS codes knowledge and custom relationship experience· Ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-functional team environment.Additional Information· Occasional domestic and international travel required.· Arabic and English are must – French is extra.· Supply chain background would helpOur Commitment to a Culture of Inclusion & BelongingEcolab is committed to fair and equal treatment of associates and applicants and furthering the principles of Equal Opportunity to Employment.
