Increase operating income and return on risk weighted assets across allocated portfolio, successfully defending/serving existing business in addition to originating new value-added revenue streams. Establish a holistic understanding of client’s needs and deliver innovative high-value solutions across all product lines, gaining significant business and sustainable returns for the Group. Co-ordinate activity with Regional Relationship Managers and Global Relationship Bankers in line with global strategy. Impact on the Business/Function Build the global banking franchise value / reputation in the marketplace Increase operating income and return on risk weighted assets across allocated portfolio, successfully defending / serving existing business, in addition to originating new value added revenue streams. Establish a holistic understanding of clients’ needs and deliver innovative high-value solutions across all product lines, gaining significant business and sustainable returns for the Group Customers / Stakeholders Develop "trusted advisor" relationship with key decision- makers for designated clients. Support Global Account Owners/Managers/Partners to deepen relationships and increase wallet share. Identify event-driven opportunities on an opportunistic basis, coordinating with sector/ country expertise as appropriate. Work effectively with all stakeholders across the region to deliver a positive customer experience Leadership & Teamwork Understanding and translating the business strategies into own work. Operational Effectiveness & Control Implementing the group compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaise with relevant compliance teams. Be aware of the operational risks associated with own role and act in a manner that takes account any operational risk consideration. Leadership: drive execution and performance of an extended team of individual contributors Competition: continually managing fierce competition from Local banks and international banks as well in terms of pricing, turnaround time when it comes to services. Egypt Multinationals: Covering allocated multinational clients in addition to drive execution and performance of an extended team of individual contributors Mena Multinationals: aligning as well with the Regional Multinationals team in terms of strategy and connectivity. Management Of Risk Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology. This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring. Addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department. Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements) The jobholder will adhere to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators. The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply. This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators. Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Management, related discipline or other relevant qualifications + Credit Training. Credit Course is mandatory. Corporate experience and relationship management is a must. Building and developing long-term relationships, including at key decision maker level for all clients. Portfolio management skills. Ability to gain substantial business for the group across a full range of products. Strong knowledge of HSBC group and products, and a strong network of contacts across all business lines. High level of a customer centric mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers. Strong understanding of risk management mitigations.
