Break into pharma consulting — with real mentorship, real exposure, and a real path forward.Company DescriptionASCENTIA is an emerging global boutique consultancy supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, biopharma companies, CROs, and academic institutions. We provide end-to-end scientific and clinical research services that prioritize data integrity, patient safety, and operational excellence — spanning clinical data management, statistics, scientific communications, and strategic medical affairs support. We operate with an agile, expert-driven model designed to deliver flexible, high-quality solutions. As we finalize our operational frameworks, we're building a network of talented, motivated professionals, including students and recent graduates from medical and pharmacy backgrounds.Role DescriptionThe Research Associate is a contract role, ideal for pharmacy students and recent graduates looking to break into pharmaceutical consulting, clinical research, or medical affairs. You'll work in close collaboration with ASCENTIA's senior team members — not in a back-office capacity, but as a genuine contributor learning the operational and business side of how a consultancy runs.Rotational ExposureThis role isn't siloed into one function. You'll rotate across two core areas of the business:Operations — project coordination, dashboards and trackers, internal documentation, reporting, and process mapping.Business & Administration — budgets, invoices, proposals, presentations, and client communications, all under senior supervision. This rotation gives you a full picture of how a pharma consultancy actually runs — and helps both you and ASCENTIA identify where your strengths and interests are best suited for the future.A Launchpad, Not Just a Support RoleAssociates who show strong performance, initiative, and scientific/clinical aptitude will have the opportunity to grow into more specialized, project-based or client-facing positions as ASCENTIA scales — including roles across clinical operations, scientific communications, and medical affairs support. You'll work directly alongside experienced consultants who can mentor your development every step of the way.QualificationsCurrently pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, or a related life sciences/healthcare field.Genuine interest in pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research consulting, with a desire to build a long-term career in the industry.High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.Effective communication skills, with the ability to produce clear written materials, concise summaries, and professional correspondence.Customer service orientation — responsive, reliable, and collaborative with both internal and external stakeholders.Foundational understanding of finance and business concepts (budgeting, invoicing, commercial operations support) is an asset, not a requirement.Prior internship or junior experience in a professional services or healthcare environment is a plus, but not essential — we're as interested in your potential as your experience. Why Join ASCENTIA?This is a rare opportunity for students and graduates from a life sciences background to gain real-world exposure to pharma consulting from the ground up — working directly with senior experts, rotating across operations and business functions, and positioning yourself for future specialized roles as ASCENTIA grows. Flexible, and built for people who want to learn by doing.
