Health & Safety Management* Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.* Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.* Ensure all workers use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).* Promote a strong safety culture among employees, subcontractors, and visitors.* Enforce compliance with safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and site rules.Training & Awareness* Conduct safety inductions for new employees and visitors.* Deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.* Educate workers on hazard identification and safe work practices.* Assist in organizing emergency drills and safety campaigns.Inspections & Reporting* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.* Report unsafe conditions, near misses, incidents, and accidents.* Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.* Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.* Monitor the implementation and closure of corrective actions.Site Safety Monitoring* Inspect scaffolding, ladders, excavation works, lifting operations, and work-at-height activities.* Ensure safe housekeeping practices throughout the site.* Monitor the safe storage and handling of materials and equipment.* Verify that subcontractors comply with project HSE requirements.* Support site management in maintaining a safe working environment.Emergency Preparedness* Assist in implementing emergency response procedures.* Ensure emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits are available and maintained.* Participate in emergency drills and evacuation exercises.* Coordinate with site teams during emergency situations. Qualifications* Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects.* Basic knowledge of construction safety practices and HSE regulations.* Familiarity with risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident reporting.Certifications (Preferred)* OSHA Certification (30-Hour or equivalent).* NEBOSH IGC (preferred).* First Aid and Fire Safety Training certificates are an advantage.
