The Sales Engineer will combine a knowledge of steel products with sales expertise to acquire new clients, manage existing accounts, and provide engineered solutions tailored to project needs.  Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in [target industries/regions].Consult with clients (contractors, fabricators, developers, engineers) to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate steel solutions.Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and bids based on project specifications.Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings to determine steel material needs.Collaborate with internal estimating, engineering, and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.Attend site visits and client meetings.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new steel technologies. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.An equivalent combination of education and field experience may be considered.3–6+ years of sales or business development experience in steel, construction materials, or industrial products.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
