We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader who is passionate about science education and will drive curriculum development and departmental standards while teaching in French.Key Responsibilities:Lead the Science Department, overseeing curriculum design and implementation in alignment with the French educational standardsFacilitate and mentor science educators, providing support and guidance to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomesDevelop and deliver an inspiring curriculum that integrates inquiry-based learning and hands-on scientific experiencesMonitor and evaluate the department's academic performance and create strategies for continuous improvementPromote a collaborative team environment, fostering professional development among staff through workshops, training sessions, and meetingsEncourage parental involvement and engagement in the science curriculum, enhancing the educational experience for studentsStay abreast of educational trends and innovations in science education, sharing insights with colleagues and incorporating relevant advancements into the curriculumRequirementsBachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related fieldFluency in French is required, with experience teaching science in the French languageValid teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, etc.) preferredA minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in secondary science education, with leadership experience preferredStrong understanding of the French educational system and curriculum requirementsExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsPassion for science education and a commitment to student-centered learningSafeguarding Statement: The safety and welfare of our students are paramount.
