Design, review, and implement secondary electrical systems for substations, including protection, control, and metering schemes. Prepare and analyze technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics for secondary systems. Coordinate with primary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of secondary systems with overall substation design. Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of protection and control equipment in substations. Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to secondary circuits, relays, and communication interfaces. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings for completed projects. Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to clarify technical requirements and resolve project challenges. Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates to project managers and stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3 years and up to 6 years of experience in secondary electrical engineering for substations. Proven experience with protection, control, and metering systems in substation environments. Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards (SEC, IEC, IEEE, etc.) and safety regulations. Proficiency in reading and preparing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Hands-on experience with installation, testing, and commissioning of secondary systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work on-site (office-based arrangement) and travel to project locations as required. Familiarity with project management tools and reporting.
