Job Responsibilities:• Shipping & Operations:o Prepare detailed cost reports for each shipment (cost sheet) and determine actual costs versus estimates.o Reconcile supplier invoices (shipping lines, airlines, and freight forwarders) with shipping orders.o Issue customer invoices (debits/credits) and follow up on collections (accounts receivable).o Reconcile accounts with international agents and shipping lines.• Import & Export Accounting:o Calculate import costs (customs duties, shipping, clearance, and transportation) and add them to the value of inventory or goods.o Open and close letters of credit (LCs) and follow up on collection documents.o Process foreign exchange transactions resulting from international transactions.• General Finance (Senior Level):o Manage and review accounts payable, receivable, and financial advances.o Prepare tax returns (VAT, income tax), and Zakat (Islamic alms).o Supervising data entry into ERP systems. • Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting major).• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in shipping or customs clearance companies.• Proficiency in computer applications (Excel) and ERP software.
