This position requires a developer who is skilled in backend technologies and possesses strong soft skills to effectively collaborate with team members. The Senior Backend Developer will have the following responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js.Utilize AWS services to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure backend infrastructure.Collaborate regularly with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design cohesive, functional code.Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing features.Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and seeking continuous improvement.As a startup, we seek someone who is proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. We develop using an agile methodology based on weekly sprints.QualificationsRequired CompetentiesMinimum 5 years’ experience as a Backend Developer with a strong focus on Node.js.Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to Lambda, EventBridge, RDS (Aurora), IAM and S3.Familiarity with SQL database management.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.Preferred CompetentiesPrevious experience in a startup environment.Knowledge of Snowflake cloud-based data storage.Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration toolsExperience with automated testing frameworks.If you are passionate about backend development and possess the necessary technical and soft skills, we would love to hear from you!
