Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Cost Control Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading construction firm. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing cost control processes, ensuring that all construction projects are delivered on budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Your expertise will support strategic financial planning and decision-making across multiple projects and align with our company’s goals for efficiency and financial stewardship.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain project cost control systems to enhance forecasting accuracy.Analyze and report on project financial performance, identifying cost variances.Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to prepare and maintain project budgets and schedules.Implement and monitor cost control procedures and standards for ongoing construction projects.Conduct regular financial audits on project expenditures to ensure compliance with budgets.Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including cost analysis and projections.Review project change orders and assess their financial impact on budgets and cash flow.Provide training and mentorship to junior cost control engineers in best practices and methodologies.Participate in project meetings to provide financial updates and support management in strategic decision-making.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis within the construction industry.Proficient in cost control software and tools, such as Primavera P6, MS Excel, and other project management software.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound recommendations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse project teams and stakeholders.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.Thorough understanding of construction processes and contractual agreements.
