Senior Oracle Applications DeveloperJob PurposeThe Senior Oracle Applications Developer will lead the technical design, development, customization, and extension of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and corporate enterprise applications. This role requires an expert-level developer capable of building complex business logic from scratch, creating rich user interfaces, and ensuring seamless data flow between internal and external systems. Acting as a senior technical authority, this individual will leverage Oracle Forms, Reports, integration technologies, and Oracle APEX to deliver robust, scalable technical solutions that meet evolving business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Customization & Extension: Architect and develop robust extensions, customizations, and modifications within Oracle EBS (R12) utilizing Oracle Forms (10g/11g/12c) and Oracle Reports/BI Publisher to meet complex business requirements.Oracle APEX Development: Design, build, and deploy high-performance, responsive low-code web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX) to extend EBS functionality, automate manual processes, and build modern corporate portals.Integration Development: Design and develop secure, scalable real-time and batch integrations between Oracle Applications and third-party systems. Utilize technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SOA Suite, Web Services (REST/SOAP), APIs, and open interfaces.Database Programming: Write advanced, highly optimized backend code including complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, database triggers, and views. Conduct performance tuning of heavy SQL queries to ensure system stability.Technical Solution Design: Translate functional specifications provided by business analysts and functional consultants into detailed Technical Design Documents (MD070, TE020, etc.) following AIM/OUM methodology.Data Migration & Conversions: Develop and execute secure data conversion programs (using SQL*Loader, PL/SQL, and standard Oracle APIs) for legacy data migration during upgrades or new module deployments.Testing & Code Quality: Lead unit testing, support System Integration Testing (SIT), and participate in code reviews to ensure all code adheres to security standards, compliance requirements, and development best practices.Production Support & Lifecycle Management: Provide Tier-3 technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for critical production issues. Package and manage technical objects across development, test, and production environments using version control tools.Required Experience & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. (Oracle technical certifications are a strong plus).Experience:Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on technical development experience within Oracle Applications environments.Proven track record of developing and deploying solutions across multiple Oracle modules (Financials, SCM, or HCM/HRMS).Technical SCM/HR Skills:Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.Master-level knowledge of Oracle APEX (architecture, page design, security, and deployment).Strong capabilities in advanced PL/SQL and SQL performance tuning.Solid experience building and maintaining API-based or file-based system integrations.System Knowledge (EBS vs Cloud):Required (Basic): Deep understanding of Oracle EBS (R12) technical architecture, standard development guidelines, and underlying standard database tables/schemas.Preferred (Optional Asset): Exposure to Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM technical architecture (BI Publisher in Cloud, HCM Extracts, or Oracle Integration Cloud).Preferred Soft SkillsExcellent collaborative skills—ability to interface seamlessly with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and system administrators.Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with an eye for optimizing performance and code clean-up.Proven ability to mentor, guide, and review the code of junior developers or offshore technical teams.
