This role ensures continuous monitoring of plant processes, equipment performance, and laboratory results against design values, corporate standards, and regulatory requirements. The Senior Process Engineer develops calculations and technical evaluations to safeguard product quality, effluent compliance, and plant efficiency, while actively contributing to the Management of Change (MOC) process through high-quality engineering design packages, process documentation, simulations, and safety reviews.Position Responsibilities Monitor and analyze process parameters, plant efficiency, and equipment performance; recommend corrective actions to optimize reliability, productivity, and emissions. Troubleshoot operational problems, support startups/shutdowns, and provide expert guidance to Operations to prevent incidents or downtime. Lead process safety activities, including risk assessments, root cause analyses, and PHAs, ensuring timely and effective preventive actions. Prepare and deliver MOC packages, including BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, design basis documents, relief sizing, and process equipment specifications. Develop and maintain process simulation models (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen EDR, PRO/II, or equivalent) to support troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and optimization. Manage catalyst lifecycle (planning, monitoring, loading/unloading, budgeting, and disposal) and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Apply API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, and other international standards in design, troubleshooting, and operational recommendations. Mentor junior engineers, deliver technical training, and support cross-disciplinary knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement and technical excellence. Position QualificationsB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent (Refining and Petrochemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Gas Processing Engineering).7–10 years’ experience as a Process Engineer in Methanol, Ammonia, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Engineering & Design industries.Proven expertise with process engineering tools (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen EDR, Flarenet, advanced Excel, etc.).Strong knowledge of process design, plant monitoring, troubleshooting, equipment sizing, and flowsheeting.Familiarity with international standards and industry best practices (API, ASME, ANSI, PIP, ASTM, etc.).Demonstrated ability to analyze technical risks, support safe decision-making, and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams.Apply Now
