Job Summary:The QS Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs and developing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on Issued for Tender (IFT) drawings and specifications. The role supports pre-award activities by ensuring quantities are complete, structured, and aligned with project scope for tendering and procurementKey Responsibilities:Review IFT drawings, specifications, and tender documents.Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all disciplines (civil, architectural, structural, finishes, etc.).Prepare comprehensive BOQs in line with project scope and measurement standards.Ensure BOQs are logically structured, measurable, and tender-ready.Identify missing scope, inconsistencies, and design gaps in IFT documents.Coordinate with design and technical teams to resolve discrepancies.Develop assumptions and clarifications related to quantities.Support tendering and estimation teams with accurate quantity data.Maintain measurement sheets and backup calculations.Update BOQs based on tender addenda or revised drawings.Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of measurement standards High proficiency in quantity take-off from 2D drawings and Revit modelsExcellent understanding of construction systems and materials.Advanced skills in Excel and BOQ structuring.Strong proficiency in quantity take-off and coordination tools, including PlanSwift, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.Ability to detect scope gaps and design inconsistencies early.Strong attention to detail and organization.Preferred:Experience in large-scale building projects (KSA or GCC is a plus).Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and tender documentation.Background in both consultant and contractor environments.
