In this role, you will lead the design review process for structural projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and organizational quality benchmarks. You will provide technical expertise, mentorship, and strategic oversight to support the successful delivery of complex structural engineering projects across various sectors.Conduct comprehensive design reviews of structural drawings, calculations, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to applicable building codes and standardsEvaluate structural design proposals and provide detailed technical feedback to design teams, identifying potential risks and recommending improvementsVerify that all structural designs meet Egyptian building codes, international standards, and client specificationsLead quality assurance processes and establish design review protocols to maintain consistent engineering excellenceMentor junior engineers and design staff, providing guidance on best practices, technical standards, and professional developmentCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to resolve design conflicts and optimize structural solutionsPrepare comprehensive design review reports, technical assessments, and recommendations for project stakeholdersMaintain detailed documentation of design reviews, approvals, and modifications for project records and compliance purposesIdentify and assess technical risks during the design phase and develop mitigation strategiesStay current with evolving building codes, engineering standards, and industry best practices relevant to the Cairo marketQualificationsMinimum 10 years of professional structural engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead design review capacityAdvanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent)Comprehensive knowledge of Egyptian building codes and international structural design standardsStrong understanding of reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structural systemsDemonstrated expertise in design quality assurance and technical review processesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailProven leadership and mentoring capabilities with experience managing technical teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are advantageousProficiency in technical documentation, report writing, and presentation of complex engineering conceptsExperience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital design toolsKnowledge of construction methodologies and constructability assessmentProfessional engineering licensure or registration (preferred)Experience coordinating with regulatory authorities and managing design approvals in Egypt (preferred)
