The Senior Taxation Specialist at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for managing complex tax matters, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting tax planning initiatives. This role involves detailed tax research, preparing tax returns, and advising management on tax-related strategies to optimize the company's tax position.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and on timeConduct in-depth tax research to stay updated on changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organizationAssist in developing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and improve financial efficiencyCollaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax accounting and reportingRespond to tax authority inquiries and assist during tax auditsMaintain comprehensive tax documentation and recordsProvide guidance and training to junior tax staff as neededSupport the Senior Taxation Manager in various tax projects and initiativesRequirementsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred3-5 years of experience in tax accounting or tax compliance rolesStrong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles affecting the real estate industryExcellent analytical and research skillsProficiency with tax software and Microsoft ExcelDetail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
