This underscores our dedication to innovation and engineering excellence, bolstering our position in the dynamic GCC market.For our office in Cairo-Egypt, we are looking forSenior Technical Coordinator - 100% (m/f) with experience in (Railway Projects).The Ideal Candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between various engineering disciplines, stakeholders, and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that complex railway projects—from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support—are delivered with technical excellence, adherence to international standards, and strict compliance with project timelines.Responsibilities: Act as the primary technical point of contact for integrating various railway systems (e.g., signaling, track, traction power, communications, and civil works). Ensure seamless interface management between disciplines.Lead the technical review of design packages, reports, and calculations to ensure they meet project specifications, client requirements, and international railway standards.Serve as a bridge between the consultancy design team, the client, contractors, and external regulatory bodies. Conduct and chair technical coordination meetings to resolve design clashes and critical issues.Oversee the integrity of project documentation, including the Master Deliverable List, document control indexes, and technical specifications. Ensure all outputs are consistent and follow the firm’s quality assurance protocols.Support the Project Manager by tracking design progress, highlighting technical risks, and proposing mitigation strategies. Ensure design activities stay within the defined scope and budget.Proactively review design documentation to identify potential construction or operational risks at the design stage. Ensure all work adheres to safety-in-design principles and relevant regulatory frameworksProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth within the team. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architect, or Systems Engineering.Minimum 7 to 15 years of proven professional experience in the railway sector, with a strong background in design and consultancy services for railway projects.Deep understanding of railway engineering fundamentals (alignment, systems, infrastructure).Familiarity with railway-specific design software (e.g., Bentley OpenRail, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).Experience with Document Management/BIM environmentsDemonstrated success in handling at least 3–5 large-scale, multi-disciplinary railway projects.
