As Senior Welding Inspector you will be responsible for supporting the Customer in monitoring and inspecting welding during the construction and installation works on a nuclear project, interfacing directly with the Customer and assists in training the Customer’s personnel.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides support to the Worley Quality Manager and the Project management team.Represents Worley at on internal and external meetings.Implements Worley Project procedures.Reviews and comments on welding technology qualification programs, welding processes implementation charts.Monitors welding and evaluates its compliance with Project requirements and applicable codes and standards.Participates in site inspections related to welding, together with Customers' representatives, and verifies the related records and documentation.Participates in audits of site infrastructure construction, welding and associated processes.Supports the Customer’s Quality Organization in the performance of Quality inspections (general and targeted) of Project Contractors and Subcontractors.Coordinates effectively with Project personnel.Completes reports of work performed accurately and on time.Participates in safety and hazard assessments as required.Reviews and reports on process compliance.Mentors and coaches the Customer's staff. Experience and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Strong technical skills; 8+ years of experience in welding and QC control of welding and at least 2 years in the nuclear industry, including participation in site inspections for NPP construction projects.Valid qualification as a welding inspector, welding engineer, or welding supervisor.Valid qualification as an NDT inspector at least level II is a plus. Recognized as having a specialized depth or breadth of expertise.
