Smart City Technology Expert

Hill International is looking for an experienced Smart City Technology Expert to support a large-scale urban development project. The role focuses on driving smart city strategies and integrating advanced digital technologies across infrastructure and services.Key Responsibilities:• Lead the development and implementation of smart city strategies and digital infrastructure frameworks• Integrate IoT systems and smart technologies across city services (traffic, utilities, lighting, environmental systems, and data platforms)• Coordinate with planners, engineers, consultants, and project teams to align smart initiatives with the master plan• Review and evaluate smart technology proposals and system architectures• Support planning of smart mobility, intelligent transportation systems, and smart utilities• Advise on data management, connectivity, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure• Monitor global trends and emerging smart city technologies• Prepare technical reports, strategies, and implementation roadmaps• Coordinate with government entities on smart city standards and requirementsRequirements:• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field• 10+ years of experience in smart city technologies or digital infrastructure• Fluent in English• Experience in large-scale urban developments or smart city projects• Background with international consultancies or major infrastructure programs is a plus• Strong coordination experience with multidisciplinary teamsSkills:• Strong knowledge of smart city systems, IoT platforms, and digital infrastructure• Understanding of data platforms, connectivity, and digital governance• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
