BackgroundThe project support a major development partner in Egypt in effectively communicating their partnership with Egypt. By raising awareness about this partnership and increasing the development partner's visibility, the project aims to foster a better understanding of the relationship, enhance the visibility of the development partner and improve the perception of their programmes in Egypt.Additionally, this project enhances the quality of communication and visibility of their projects and programmes in Egypt by effectively showcasing the results of their development partnership projects. Project activities include the implementation of communication campaigns and conducting visibility activities throughout Egypt. These efforts will contribute significantly to achieving a better understanding of the partnership with Egypt.The development partner is already actively engaged on social media, posting content approximately three times a week. During events, posts may increase to twice daily. Currently, the content on Facebook, X and Instagram is nearly identical, not catering to the distinct audiences of each platform. Their social media presence has been somewhat conservative and unidirectional, lacking engagement with its audience. Also youth, as one of the main target groups, is not being effectively addressed by their current social media. They now aim to increase its followers and enhance awareness of the Egypt partnership through more engaging, diversified, and audience-specific content.Objective The primary objective for this assignment is to significantly increase their social media follower base and enhance audience engagement, thereby raising awareness of the Egypt partnership.This objective will be achieved through the creation and implementation of a dynamic and engaging social media presence that caters to different audience segments, utilises diverse content formats, and fosters two-way communication. The Social Media Manager will therefore work to make their social media presence more appealing, interactive, and reflective of the interests and needs of the largely young population in Egypt.Scope of WorkThe Social Media Manager will be responsible for the following: Content Creation and Management: ü Implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy.ü Creating original, engaging, and diverse content tailored to different platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube), and other potential social media platforms.ü Utilising various content formats including images, videos, infographics, and human-interest stories.ü Ensure consistent branding and messaging.ü Design and manage social media calendars (yearly, quarterly, monthly). Audience Engagement: ü Increase interaction by posting in relevant social media groups and collaborating with influencers and Youth Ambassadors. Analytics and Reporting: ü Track and analyse social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of content.ü Prepare monthly reports on social media performance and suggest improvements. Coordination and Collaboration: ü Regular coordination with the core team regarding thematic campaigns and ad-hoc content. Enhancing Social Media Presence: ü Develop and implement strategies to increase the follower base.ü Use proactive and reactive posting to keep the audience engaged.ü Create impactful messaging for a number of thematic campaigns.ü Monthly reports detailing social media performance and analytics. Deliverables Engaging and platform-specific content that increases follower engagement, with at least 7 posts per week for each platform. Monthly social media strategy and content calendars. Monthly reports detailing social media performance and analytics. A semi-annual analytical and critical performance report (annex to the Progress report) Duration of AssignmentThe assignment will commence in June 2026 to December 2026.RequirementsThe candidate should have the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Proven experience as a Social Media Manager. Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences. Excellent content creation skills, including writing skills (in Arabic and English) editing, and graphic design. Experience with social media analytics tools. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Strong organisational skills.
