This role involves identifying and qualifying prospective clients, preparing technical and commercial proposals for solar energy solutions, and presenting system designs that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. The Solar Sales Engineer will coordinate site assessments, perform preliminary system sizing and cost estimates, and collaborate with engineering and installation teams to ensure accurate project scoping. Daily responsibilities include providing technical support during the sales process, responding to client inquiries, preparing quotations, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers. The role also includes tracking opportunities in the sales pipeline, preparing regular reports, and staying current with solar technologies, standards, and market trends.Qualifications Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to design, explain, and validate solar solutions for diverse customer requirements.Proven Sales and Customer Service abilities to manage leads, negotiate offers, close deals, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.Excellent Communication skills for clear technical presentations, proposal writing, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.Knowledge of solar PV system design, components, and industry standards; experience with relevant design or simulation tools is an advantage.Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and site data, and translate them into practical solutions for customers.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in proposals and cost calculations.Ability to work on-site, travel to project locations as needed, and manage multiple opportunities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience in solar or construction-related sales is preferred; familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes is beneficial.
