This role owns the architecture, scalability, security, automation, and operational excellence of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure platforms while enabling highly reliable software delivery at scale.The Staff DevOps Engineer partners closely with Engineering, Security, Architecture, Product, and Infrastructure teams to establish engineering standards, improve developer experience, drive platform modernization, and ensure enterprise-grade resiliency across mission-critical systems.Key Accountabilities:Key accountabilities and decision ownership: (max of 7 accountabilities not main or daily duties or tasks) Platform Engineering LeadershipLead the design, evolution, and governance of enterprise platform engineering capabilities, enabling development teams to build, deploy, and operate applications efficiently through self-service infrastructure, automation, and standardized engineering practices.Cloud & Infrastructure ArchitectureOwn the architecture and continuous improvement of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure across AWS and on-premises environments, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, cost optimization, and operational excellence.Kubernetes Platform OwnershipDefine and govern the enterprise Kubernetes strategy, architecture, and operational model across Amazon EKS and hybrid environments, ensuring high availability, resilience, performance, and security of containerized workloads.DevSecOps & CI/CD StrategyDrive the organization's DevSecOps transformation by establishing secure software delivery practices, implementing enterprise CI/CD standards, integrating security controls into pipelines, and optimizing software release processes.Infrastructure as Code & AutomationChampion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices using technologies such as Terraform and Ansible, ensuring consistency, repeatability, compliance, and operational efficiency across all environments.Reliability, Monitoring & ObservabilityEstablish observability standards and reliability engineering practices through proactive monitoring, alerting, tracing, and performance management, leveraging tools such as Elastic, New Relic, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.Technical Leadership & MentorshipProvide technical leadership, architectural guidance, mentoring, and coaching to DevOps, Platform, and Software Engineering teams while driving engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.Person Specification5-8 years of experience as a DevOps and cloudBachelor’s degree in computer engineering\Science, or equivalentHands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, including but not limited to Amazon EKS, EC2, Application Load Balancers (ALB/NLB), Auto Scaling, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and Route 53, with proven ability to design, deploy, secure, and operate highly available and scalable cloud-native platforms.Hands-on experience in continuous delivery and continuous integration of CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Repos, branching, code review and code analysis toolsHands-on expertise in diverse DevOps concepts / tools, especially on Azure DevOps, Pipelines, GitHub, GitHub actionsHands on experience on Kubernetes and containerization technologies like Docker and Azure Container RegistrySolid knowledge on Bash/PowerShell scriptingSolid foundation of networking (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, Certificates, Service Mesh), Linux administration and Web Servers (NGINX, Apache, IIS).Payment \ Fintech experience is a plusOur values guide how we think and act - They describe what we care about the mostCustomer first - It’s embedded in our design thinking and customer service approachOpen - Openness allows us to constantly improve and evolveReal - No jargon and no excuses!Bold - Constantly challenging ourselves and our way of thinkingResilient – If we fail, we bounce back stronger than beforeCollaborative - We know that we can achieve a lot more as a teamWe are changing lives by constantly striving for a better solutionClick apply below and become part of the Geidea story
