Job Purpose The Stock Control Supervisor is responsible for forecasting, planning, and optimizing spare parts inventory in alignment with operational and business demand. The role ensures high stock availability, minimizes obsolete and slow-moving inventory, and supports procurement and commercial decisions through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities: 1. Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning Analyze historical consumption trends, seasonal patterns, and service forecasts to develop accurate inventory plans. Collaborate with Service, Sales, and Procurement teams to align stock levels with projected demand. Maintain rolling forecasts and continuously adjust planning parameters based on market changes and operational insights. Monitor aging and slow-moving inventory, recommending clearance, reclassification, or disposal actions. 2. Replenishment Strategy & Optimization Define and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels per part number and location. Monitor reorder points and supplier lead times to ensure timely replenishment while avoiding overstocking. Optimize stock distribution across warehouses to improve availability and reduce logistics costs. 3. Carry-Over & VOR (Vehicle Off-Road) Management Conduct daily carry-over analysis to identify pending or unresolved parts requirements. Prioritize and expedite VOR cases to minimize operational downtime and customer impact. 4. New Part Number Planning & Pricing Coordinate with Technical and Procurement teams to introduce and define new part numbers. Benchmark market prices and recommend competitive and sustainable pricing strategies. Ensure accurate system updates (ERP) for part classification, bin location, and cost structure. 5. Reporting & Strategic Insights Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs such as fill rate, inventory turnover, and forecast accuracy. Prepare and present monthly inventory and planning reviews, highlighting risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities. Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and compliance with inventory policies. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. 5–7 years of experience in spare parts inventory, stock control, or warehouse management. Prior experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dealer Management Systems). Solid understanding of automotive spare parts, catalogues, and warehouse operations. Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities. Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail. Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management across functions. High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership.
