Implements design or analysis tasks in accordance with building code requirements.Focuses on structural investigation and structural renovation of all types of buildings and/or special purpose structures.Directs the preparation of calculations, design drawings and specifications, and perform construction administration tasks.Prepares project work plans including tasks, staff time, and fee budgets and control project budgets.Selects, or having input into the selection of specialist subcontractors or other organizations that will help complete the project work and advising on the selection of materials used and other aspects of procurement.Conducting financial, technical, and operational risk assessments and advising on risks, opportunities, and potential hazards.Manages processes relating to the project's design to ensure that everything is delivered to schedule and budget, working very closely with estimators, quantity surveyors, site managers and other key members of the project team.Supervise work of other engineers and CAD/BIM technicians. Support work tasks in a team environment and help mentor and develop less experienced engineers. Bachelor’s degree in, civil or structural engineering.10+ years of structural engineering, including structural design, and condition assessment and remedial work design.Proficient in the use of computer Engineering analysis softwarePMP certified is a must, MBA will be a plus.Ability to work in and review work in AutoCAD (experience with Revit and/or Sketchup is a plus).Proficient in writing and editing of project specifications and technical reports.
