Learn more at www.dar.com.Role Summary:We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer - Computational Designer to join our dynamic Computational.Design Technologies Team (CDT - Digital Practice, in Cairo office). This role is responsible for thedevelopment and adoption of computational design workflows using automation tools, scripts, plugins, and other computational approaches, including integration with Architectural BIM models. The candidate must be able to collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams, ensuring effective design development and dynamic model integration.Responsibilities:Develop and implement computational design solutions for structural engineering projects using visual programming tools.Create automation workflows and custom tools to improve structural design and analysis processes.Collaborate with structural engineers and project teams to integrate computational design into project delivery.Conduct research, evaluate, and implement new plugins, software, and structural analysis/modeling techniques.Lead and deliver training sessions on computational design tools and digital workflows for project teams.Coordinate with consultants, internal teams, and stakeholders to support digital engineering initiatives.Present technical solutions and lead meetings with consultants, project teams, and business partners.Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to computational design, structural analysis, and digital workflows.Continuously explore and implement innovative technologies and workflows to improve engineering efficiency and project quality.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university (master's degree in computational design is a plus).2–5 years of relevant experience with a focus on Design Technology, computational design, and visual programming.Strong knowledge of structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and similar engineering applications.Expert proficiency in visual programming tools such as Rhino + Grasshopper, Rhino.Inside.Revit, or Dynamo.Programming experience using Python, C#, and APIs for structural engineering software.Solid understanding of AutoCAD and traditional CAD workflows.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts effectively.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.Ability to learn new technologies and develop innovative solutions when standard workflows are not available.** While we carefully review all applications, only candidates meeting the specified requirements will be contacted for further consideration.
