ABOUT THE ROLEGK Foods is looking for a Supply Chain & Trade Operations Lead to manage the full flow of goods — from supplier sourcing and purchasing through to import clearance, export documentation, and last-mile delivery of local sales orders. This role spans both inbound and outbound operations, sitting at the intersection of procurement, trade compliance, logistics, and customer fulfilment. The right candidate will be equally comfortable negotiating with suppliers, navigating customs requirements, and ensuring local customers receive their orders accurately and on time.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Purchasing & Sourcing– Source and evaluate suppliers; negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.– Issue and manage purchase orders; track order confirmations and follow up on delivery schedules.– Monitor supplier performance against lead time, quality, manage vendor relationships and resolve disputes.– Maintain accurate purchasing records and support inventory planning with timely procurement data.2. Import Operations– Coordinate all inbound international shipments across air, sea, and land freight modes.– Prepare and review import documentation — commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.– Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance and resolution of any holds or discrepancies.– Ensure compliance with applicable import regulations, HS codes, tariff classifications, and duty requirements.– Track inbound shipments end-to-end; communicate ETAs and exceptions to the warehouse and planning teams.3. Export Operations– Coordinate all outbound international shipments, selecting optimal freight modes and carriers based on cost and urgency.– Prepare and verify export documentation — commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, export declarations, and required permits or licences.– Ensure full compliance with export regulations, trade restrictions, and destination-country import requirements.– Liaise with freight forwarders and government authorities to ensure smooth export clearance.– Track outbound shipments and provide proactive updates to international customers and internal stakeholders.4. Local Sales Order Logistics & Delivery– Receive, process, and confirm local sales orders; coordinate with the warehouse for accurate picking, packing, and dispatch.– Plan and manage last-mile delivery operations — route planning, carrier or driver assignment, and delivery scheduling.– Act as the primary point of contact for local customers on order status, delivery timelines, and issue resolution.– Follow up on proof of delivery; manage returns, exchanges, and delivery discrepancies in a timely manner.– Maintain delivery records and report on fulfilment rates, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction metrics.REQUIREMENTS✓ 3-5 years of experience in a supply chain, trade operations, or logistics role covering both import and export functions.✓ Solid knowledge of import/export procedures, incoterms, HS codes, and customs documentation requirements.✓ Experience issuing and managing purchase orders within an ERP system preferably Odoo✓ Hands-on experience managing local delivery logistics and coordinating with drivers, couriers, or third-party carriers.✓ Ability to manage high volumes of orders and shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.✓ Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple functions independently.✓ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, scheduling, and reporting.✓ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.APPLY NOWIf you are qualified for this role, or know someone who is, please share your resume at: info@gkfoods.net
