Supply Planning Manager

JOB PURPOSE The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for managing all the country's supply chains and liaises with a variety of internal and external parties, including suppliers, manufacturers and stores.RESPONSIBILITIES - Analyze and resolve logistical issues, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare supply chain simulations for new brands or products to support business development.- Manage the complete process of receiving goods while ensuring timely delivery to proper venues.- Benchmark and evaluate rates between different logistics providers and update the regional office accordingly.- Define, develop, set up, and monitor the implementation of a comprehensive operations base that encompasses all relevant parties, including internal contacts, forwarding companies, clearing agents, insurance companies, warehousing facilities, and land transportation services.- Direct the proper start-up of operations by validating information received from the regional operations department.- Reduce costs where possible by managing allocated budgets and expenditures, and report variances between actual and set budgets to ensure effective cost management.- Periodically manage the quality, cost, and efficiency of item movement and storage.- Assess the logistics network to ensure it consistently delivers optimal service to the business.- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base, and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company.BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES Customer Focus: Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.
