Job Title: Tax ManagerJob Purpose: Lead the Sector Tax function by managing tax compliance, tax planning, tax risk management, and regulatory reporting across the E&C Sector, including entities and Joint Ventures. The role ensures full adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations, accurate and timely tax submissions, proper tax accounting treatment, and effective governance over tax-related activities, while supporting the optimization of the Sector’s overall tax position. Accountabilities: Tax Compliance & ReportingEstablish and enforce sector-wide tax compliance frameworks, policies, and reporting standards in alignment with Group Tax guidelines and applicable regulations.Oversee and validate the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of tax filings prepared by business units, ensuring adherence to Group reporting requirements.Monitor changes in tax laws, assess sector-wide implications, and ensure consistent implementation aligned with Group directives.Define documentation standards and ensure business units maintain adequate tax records in line with Group compliance and audit expectations.Tax Accounting & ReconciliationSet sector-level tax accounting policies in alignment with Group accounting standards and tax directives.Review and validate tax-related balances, provisions, and disclosures at a consolidated level, ensuring consistency with Group reporting requirements.Ensure alignment between tax reporting, financial statements, and statutory reporting across all entities and with Group consolidation standards.Oversee reconciliation frameworks and ensure business units implement controls consistent with Group policies.Tax Planning & AdvisoryProvide strategic direction and oversight for tax planning initiatives in alignment with Group tax strategy.Review and endorse tax implications of significant transactions (e.g., major contracts, investments, JVs), ensuring compliance with Group policies and escalation protocols.Guide business units on complex tax matters in line with Group-approved positions.Assess and validate tax impacts of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with sector objectives and Group direction.Tax Risk Management & GovernanceEstablish and maintain a sector-wide tax risk management framework aligned with Group governance standards.Define tax governance structures, internal controls, and review mechanisms in line with Group control frameworks.Oversee significant tax risk exposures and ensure proper escalation to and coordination with Group Tax and Finance leadership.Ensure consistent adherence to Group policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements across all entities.Audit & External Stakeholder OversightOversee tax audit readiness across the sector, ensuring compliance with Group audit and documentation standards.Review and consolidate key tax audit findings across business units, assess their sector-wide impact, and ensure appropriate remediation actions are implemented.Coordinate significant tax matters, disputes, and assessments at sector level, ensuring alignment and escalation in line with Group protocols.Provide oversight in engagements with tax authorities, auditors, and advisors on material or escalated matters, in coordination with Group Tax.Financial Reporting & Consolidation SupportOversee consolidation and review of tax-related reporting and disclosures in alignment with Group requirements.Define sector-level standards for tax reporting and analysis consistent with Group expectations.Provide consolidated insights on tax positions and risks to support sector and Group decision-making.Ensure alignment of tax reporting practices with Group financial reporting frameworks and statutory obligations.HSE Responsibilities ELSEWEDY Electric requires the active commitment to, and accountability for, QHSE from all employees and contractors.
