Job PurposeThe architectural team lead is responsible for leading and coordinating architectural design activities across assigned projects during the design development, construction documentation, and construction support phases. The role ensures design quality, consultant coordination, value engineering implementation, and compliance with project requirements, company standards, applicable regulations, and project delivery objectives while supporting the Design Manager in achieving project milestones. Key Accountabilities Lead architectural design coordination across assigned projects. Manage and coordinate external design consultants and multidisciplinary teams. Review and approve consultant submissions prior to Design Manager review. Ensure compliance with project briefs, design standards, company requirements, and authority regulations. Lead value engineering initiatives without compromising design intent or project quality. Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, MEP, landscape, and interior design disciplines. Ensure timely delivery of design packages in accordance with project schedules. Monitor design quality and consistency throughout all project stages under responsibility. Support material selection processes and technical design evaluations. Contribute to the development and implementation of design standards and best practices. Support construction teams by providing technical clarification and design support during project execution. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate architectural design activities across assigned projects. Review architectural drawings, reports, specifications, and technical submissions. Review and approve consultant design submissions before escalation to the Design Manager. Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, and interior design disciplines to ensure design integration. Monitor consultant performance against project deliverables, quality standards, and schedules. Lead design coordination meetings and document key decisions and actions. Identify design conflicts and coordinate timely resolutions with relevant stakeholders. Drive value engineering initiatives and evaluate alternative design solutions. Ensure compliance with project briefs, authority requirements, building codes, and company standards. Review material selections and technical specifications to ensure suitability and compliance. Support authority submission processes and address authority comments when required. Ensure consistency and quality of design deliverables throughout project stages. Support BIM coordination activities and interdisciplinary design integration. Provide technical support and clarification to project and construction teams. Review shop drawings and technical queries when required during construction support stages. Assist in developing design guidelines, standards, and lessons learned documentation. Mentor and support junior architects within the team. Monitor project design progress and report risks, delays, and issues to the Design Manager. Ensure design documentation is maintained, updated, and properly archived. Qualifications & Experience Education Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. Master's Degree is an advantage. Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture, design management, or technical design. Experience within real estate development is required. Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and large-scale development projects. Skills Strong design management and coordination skills. Thorough knowledge of architectural standards and construction documentation. Advanced knowledge of building regulations and authority requirements. Excellent stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and value engineering capabilities. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and Microsoft Office. Fluent in English and Arabic.
