Technical Office EngineerCompany: IACLocation: Sama Administrative Towers, Katameya, Cairo (with potential travel to external sites)Department: Sales & Technical SupportJob SummaryIAC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Office Engineer to manage the design, documentation, and technical support aspects for fueling systems, fire fighting systems, HVAC systems, fuel station and industrial projects. This role involves translating client needs into precise technical designs, creating all necessary project documentation (drawings, schematics, material lists), and ensuring technical compliance from the proposal stage through execution. This position is essential for the seamless coordination between internal stakeholders (sales, procurement, and the construction/fabrication teams), local vendors, as well as clients and consultants.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design & DocumentationServe as the primary technical resource, analyzing client project requirements, technical specifications, and site challenges.Work on the design and conceptualization of optimal MEP solutions (e.g., fire fighting, HVAC, fueling stations, generator fueling systems, transfer systems, management/filtration systems).Select appropriate components from IAC's portfolio (e.g., OPW, KPS, Fibrelite, M+F, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Red Jacket, Morrison Bros, IAC fabricated tanks).Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial documents, including system layouts, schematics, technical descriptions, Bill of Materials (BOM), pricing, project timelines, system functionality outlines, and develop all necessary shop drawings/as-built drawings.Manage and maintain all project technical documentation and ensure that the final design adheres to industry standards and client specifications.Project Support & CoordinationManage the technical requirements of awarded projects, ensuring all specifications are met throughout the execution phase.Work closely with the supply chain team to process the ERP system for purchasing and delivering project items on time based on the approved BOM.Provide technical support from delivery to startup, including support in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).Assist fabrication and installation teams with technical queries, installation details, and commissioning procedures when required.Proactively track technical deliverables on the project timeline, identifying and mitigating potential technical risks or documentation delays.Technical Acumen & ImprovementConduct product research and stay informed on industry news, technical trends, and product-line developments from key brands and competitors.Provide technical feedback to the management team on product performance or potential new features based on project experience. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.Proven experience (1-7 years) as a Technical Office Engineer, Design Engineer, or Projects Engineer in the fluid handling, pumping systems, or related MEP/oil & gas/energy/industrial equipment sectors. Specialization in fire fighting / HVAC is an added advantage.Solid understanding of MEP components: pumps, valves, piping, filters, meters, sensors, tanks, and control systems.Expert ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings (P&IDs, PFDs, layout drawings, shop drawings).High proficiency in MS Office Suite; proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD is mandatory, Revit/SolidWorks/Inventor is a plus).Excellent project management, organizational, and documentation skills, with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to internal teams (sales, supply chain, plant).Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, with willingness for occasional travel for site support.Note for applicantsSubmit your CV before Saturday, 27th of June 2026, for a better chance of acceptance.
