1. Shop Drawings & Technical CoordinationPrepare and review MEP shop drawings (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical).Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural disciplines to avoid clashes.Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and consultant requirements.2. Material SubmittalsPrepare and submit material submittals for consultant approval.Review technical data sheets, catalogs, and compliance with specifications.Follow up on approvals and maintain submittal logs.3. Quantity Surveying (QS)Perform quantity take-offs for MEP works.Prepare BOQs and cost estimates.Monitor material consumption and project costs.4. Tendering & Procurement SupportAssist in preparing tender documents for MEP works.Evaluate subcontractor and supplier offers technically and commercially.Coordinate with procurement for material selection and approval.5. Site SupportProvide technical support to site engineers during execution.Respond to site queries and issue technical clarifications.Review and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information).6. Documentation & ReportingMaintain all technical documentation and logs (drawings, RFIs, submittals).Prepare progress reports related to MEP works.Ensure proper document control in coordination with the Document Controller.7. Variation Orders & ClaimsPrepare variation orders and cost impact analysis.Support in preparing claims and supporting documents. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.3–7 years of experience in MEP technical office work within construction companies.Strong knowledge of MEP systems:HVAC systemsPlumbing & drainageFirefighting systemsElectrical systems (power, lighting, low current)Proficiency in:AutoCADRevit (preferred)Microsoft Office (Excel is essential)Familiarity with standards and codes (including ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, and local codes).
