As a Technical Office Mechanical Engineer, you will be at the heart of our project execution, bridging the gap between design concepts and on-site reality. You will play a crucial role in the engineering, coordination, and technical oversight of HVAC, Firefighting, and Plumbing systems for MEP contracting projects. We are looking for a detail-orientated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, excels at managing technical submittals and shop drawings, and is passionate about precision and value engineering.Responsibilities:Lead and perform mechanical design activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international codes.Shop Drawings & Coordination: Prepare, review, and modify detailed mechanical shop drawings, composite/coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, ensuring zero clashes with electrical and civil structures.Technical Calculations: Perform and verify engineering calculations, including cooling/heating loads, hydraulic calculations for firefighting/plumbing, pump head, and external static pressure (ESP) for fans.Material Submittals: Prepare comprehensive material submittal packages (procurement logs, compliance sheets, technical data sheets) and follow up on approvals from project consultants.Quantity Surveying & BOQ: Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, verify Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and prepare variation orders or claims for any design changes.Procurement Support: Review supplier and subcontractor quotations, prepare technical evaluation reports, and ensure selected materials align with project specifications and budget constraints.Site Coordination: Provide technical support to the site execution team, clarifying engineering queries and resolving site-specific technical issues or Requests for Information (RFIs).Quality & Standards: Ensure all mechanical designs and installations comply with local codes (Egyptian Code), international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ASPE, SMACNA), and project specifications.Facilitate effective project coordination with various disciplines, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and submittals.Ensure all designs and installations adhere to the latest mechanical codes and standards, including HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems.Actively participate in design reviews and value engineering exercises to optimize project outcomes.Manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintaining high-quality output within project deadlines.Skills & Technologies: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP (BIM experience is highly preferred).Strong command of design software such as HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), Elite, or equivalent hydraulic calculation tools.Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with NFPA, ASHRAE, and SMACNA codes, as well as Egyptian engineering regulations.Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight project deadlines.Languages: Fluent in Arabic; strong command of written and spoken English (for technical reporting and documentation).Growth Opportunities: This role offers significant potential for professional development within a leading engineering firm.
