Technical Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer is responsible for generating and closing sales opportunities for Contact Interiors' Interior Systems and Exterior Systems divisions. The role combines technical understanding, business development, relationship management, vendor registration, and project sales.The Sales Engineer will work closely with lead generation personnel, contractors, consultants, developers, corporate clients, and end users to secure profitable projects and expand the company's presence in the market.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, architects, procurement teams, and corporate clients.Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, market research, and site visits.Follow up on leads provided by Business Development Surveyors.Identify upcoming projects and tender opportunities.Conduct client meetings and product presentations.Promote Contact Interiors' Interior Systems and Exterior Systems solutions.Technical SalesUnderstand client requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.Coordinate with the Technical Office to prepare quotations and technical submissions.Clarify technical and commercial requirements with clients.Participate in project handover meetings after contract award.Vendor Registration & PrequalificationRegister Contact Interiors with banks, governmental institutions, developers, consultants, corporate clients, and major contractors.Prepare and submit prequalification packages and vendor registration documents.Maintain records of registration status, renewals, and required documentation.Build relationships with procurement and vendor management departments.Identify strategic organizations where vendor registration may lead to future opportunities.Tender & Proposal ManagementTrack project opportunities from inquiry through award.Coordinate submission of quotations, technical proposals, samples, and presentations.Follow up on submitted proposals.Attend clarification meetings and negotiations.Relationship ManagementMaintain regular contact with existing clients.Develop long-term relationships with consultants and decision-makers.Seek opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling.Represent Contact Interiors professionally at meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.Sales ReportingMaintain accurate CRM records.Submit weekly activity reports.Track leads, quotations, pipeline value, and awarded projects.Monitor competitor activity and market trends. QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience in construction, fit-out, aluminium systems, facade systems, architectural products, or related B2B sales.Experience dealing with contractors, consultants, and corporate clients is preferred.SkillsStrong communication and presentation skills.Ability to read architectural and construction drawings.Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.CRM and reporting discipline.Self-motivated and target-oriented.Ability to build long-term professional relationships.Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
