Technical Sales Engineer / Solutions Engineer Role Overview We are looking for a Technical Sales professional who sits comfortably between sales and engineering. This role requires strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience translating customer needs into clear technical solutions. You will own technical responses to RFPs, prepare solution documentation, support client discussions, and lead technical aspects of pre-sales and integration conversations. Nice to Have Experience in SaaS, AI, data platforms, or enterprise integrations Familiarity with security, compliance, and infrastructure concepts Background as a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant Experience working with CRM tools and sales pipelines What Success Looks Like High-quality, accurate, and timely RFP submissions Confident technical ownership during client engagements Clear and well-structured technical documentation delivered to clients Smooth handover from sales to delivery teams with minimal gaps minimum 3 years Key Responsibilities Act as the technical owner during the pre-sales and sales lifecycle Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions Draft, review, and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires Create high-quality technical documents including solution architectures, integration diagrams, and scope documents Lead technical presentations and solution walkthroughs with clients Discuss APIs, system integrations, data flows, security, and deployment models with customer technical teams Work closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to validate solution feasibility Support proof of concepts, demos, and technical evaluations when needed Provide technical clarification and follow-up during contract and onboarding phases Maintain reusable technical content such as templates, standard responses, and solution descriptions Required Skills and Experience Strong technical background in software systems, cloud platforms, or enterprise solutions Proven experience responding to RFPs and producing client-facing technical documentation Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs, integrations, and data flows Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Experience working with enterprise clients and stakeholders Strong written communication skills with attention to detail Comfortable leading technical discussions independently
