Location: Heliopolis, Cairo, EgyptContract Type: 12 Months Fixed Term ContractHours: Full Time / 40 hours per week, over 5 working days, Sunday to Thursday (07:30 to 16:00) with 30 minutes breakAbout this Role and You:The post is responsible for the supervisory, execution and co-ordination of structural work within the geographical region allocated.Primary task: the day-to-day control of the projects (arising from Condition Surveys and other sources) in the region, ensuring that cemeteries and memorials are properly maintained to the standards as specified by the Commission, as efficiently and economically as possible and supports the Technical Manager in all aspects when required.You will be able to demonstrateTo act as the Principal Project Supervisor for all annual construction and maintenance projects across the delegated region. The Supervisor must undertake these planned and reactive projects according to time and budget constraints. The Supervisor will regularly report to and collaborate with their direct line manage.Support other colleagues within AAA by producing specifications and BOQ’s for the delivery of specialised projects.Provide technical advice concerning Works Projects to AAA (Africa Asia Area) Technical Manager and Operations Manager in support of the Area Business Plan and objectives.Carry out structural condition surveys and technical inspections of all constructed elements across the commissions estate and transfer the resulting information into the CWGC’s Condition Survey Software.Maintain accurate records of cemetery plans and technical data.Implement Health and Safety policies, with specific regard to contractor management, promote safe working practices.Record and report on project related accidents and near misses, taking appropriate action to effectively manage risk. Support the management of Area Health & Safety compliance.Plan and execute international travel as required to carry out technical inspections, project supervision, and condition surveys to ensure the effective organisation and implementation of structural conservation works and property maintenance of the AAA estate.Coordinate with Technical Manager, Operations Manager, Regional Managers, Finance Manager and HR Manager in respect of key works budget and staffing issues.Identify, order and procure supplies/materials required to execute Works Projects.Manage maintenance and conservation of the AAA structures and property estate.Support the preparation of Area conservation management plans and Conservation Statements.Delivery and monitoring of the Area memorial and headstone amendments programme, as required by Area Works Manager.Must be able to speak, read, and write in clear EnglishManage the resolution of all incidents in their designated area that result in damage to property (SHIELD)Manage their annually designated maintenance budget and programme of work (Work Programme)Work as the Project Manager for all structural maintenance and construction projects in their area. This includes keeping clear records that must adhere to all our global policies, including adhering to our procurement, tender, Health & Safety, and quality of work guidance and values. (Project Management)Use our dedicated software to order replacement Headstones as required and oversee the installation of the headstones when they are delivered (Vigil)Assist the Technical Manager in producing and costing a 5-year programme of planned preventative maintenance for all our sites in your delegated area (PPM)Assist the Technical Manager in costing and implementing all planned changes in the area that require approval from our internal planning processes and adherence to local legislation (Form B)Maintain good Health and Safety practise on all projects, some of which will be entirely managed remotely via WhatsApp and TeamsUse specialist software to accurately record financial and technical solutions to all constructed elements within our estate (K2)Management in-person and remotely all projects across the Supervisor’s area, often within multiple locations / countries simultaneouslyYou must have the Right to Work in Egypt at the point of applicationWhat We Offer:15 annual days for the first year, 21 days from the second year, 30 days in case of having 10 years of social insurance registration history.Generous pension scheme with CWGC contributing 11%.Medical and life insurance upon completing probation.
