This environment offers aspiring textile professionals exposure to both creative development and manufacturing processes.Role Description This is a hybrid internship role for a Textile Designer based in Cairo, Egypt, with the flexibility to work partly from home. The intern will support the design and development of textiles, including creating patterns, prints, and embroidery concepts aligned with brand direction. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching trends, preparing design boards, developing artwork for fabric prints, and assisting in sampling and colorway development. The role also involves collaborating with senior designers and production teams, preparing digital files for manufacturing, and ensuring designs are technically feasible for weaving and printing. The intern will help organize design assets, maintain design documentation, and contribute creative ideas to seasonal collections.QualificationsStrong foundation in textiles, including understanding of fabric types, Textile Prints, and surface design.Skills in Embroidery concepts and techniques, with the ability to translate motifs into production-ready designs.Graphics and Graphic Design skills for creating digital patterns, motifs, and layout compositions.Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or similar tools).Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.Attention to detail, color sensitivity, and a strong aesthetic sense.Ability to take feedback, work collaboratively, and manage multiple design tasks within deadlines.Portfolio demonstrating textile, print, or surface design work is required.
