Role Objectives:The Transportation Senior Specialist is responsible for the coordination, and oversight of the employee shuttle bus program. The primary objective is to ensure a seamless, safe, and cost-effective commuting experience for all staff members across various shifts and locations. This role focuses on route optimization, vendor management, and ensuring that the transportation service aligns with the company's operational requirements and employee satisfaction goals.Roles & Responsibilities:Design and optimize shuttle bus routes and schedules based on employee density, shift timings, and geographic requirements to ensure maximum coverage and efficiency.Manage the relationship with transportation service providers, ensuring full compliance with contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and safety standards.Supervise daily shuttle operations, including tracking vehicle arrivals/departures and addressing real-time delays or mechanical breakdowns to minimize impact on business operations.Conduct regular inspections of the fleet to ensure vehicles meet cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards.Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, feedback, and complaints regarding transportation services, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Review monthly invoices for accuracy and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.Develop and maintain an emergency contingency plan for transportation, including backup vehicle arrangements for peak periods or unforeseen disruptions.Utilize technology and transport management tools to track ridership data, monitor driver behavior, and automate seat booking or attendance tracking.Collaborate with Department Heads/Managers to adjust shuttle schedules in alignment with changing warehouse or office shift patterns.Prepare periodic reports for management regarding ridership trends, vendor performance, and total spend analysis.Required Education, Knowledge, And Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a relevant field.Relevant certifications in fleet management or transport operations are an advantage.4- 5 years of experience in corporate administration or logistics, specifically focused on employee transportation or fleet management.Experience managing large-scale shuttle operations within the Middle East market, preferably for high-headcount organizations or manufacturing/logistics hubs.Required Skills:Strong organizational and planning skills with a focus on logistical scheduling.Advanced vendor management and negotiation skills.Proficiency in using data to drive decisions, particularly regarding route efficiency and capacity planning.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve logistical conflicts quickly.Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with GPS tracking systems and mobile applications for employee transportation.Knowledge of vehicle safety protocols and preventive maintenance scheduling.
