Job Title: Treasury and Banking ManagerDeliver Egypt’s first High Speed Rail Service with DBEE. DBEE is a joint venture between DB International Operations and Elsewedy Electric. DB International Operations provides rail operations and maintenance worldwide; Elsewedy Electric, global energy and infrastructure solutions provider. Together, we combine strong local capabilities with proven global railway expertise to enable efficient, safe and sustainable passenger and freight mobility on Egypt’s first High Speed Rail network. We are looking for transport and mobility professionals with substantial experience in railway operations and projects in Egypt or worldwide. Join us to deliver this landmark project.We are looking for you as early as possible as Treasury and Banking Manager for DB-El Sewedy Railway Operation Egypt for the primary location Cairo, Egypt.The Treasury and Banking Manager at DBEE is responsible for securing liquidity and managing the company's financial resources, optimizing currency exposure (with special focus on safeguarding Euros), overseeing guarantees and bonds, and maintaining robust relationships with banking partners. The Treasury and Banking Manager reports to the Senior Commercial Manager and leads a small team.Responsibilities: Secure sufficient liquidity to meet DBEE’s operational and strategic needs.Develop, monitor, and update liquidity plans, forecasting cash flows and requirements.Manage currency exposure, especially to preserve Euro holdings and mitigate exchange risks.Oversee issuance, renewal, and adaptation of guarantees, including advance payment and performance bonds, per contract demands.Maintain and enhance relationships with business and payroll banks, ensuring seamless banking operations.Review and recommend improvements to banking arrangements and negotiating terms as needed.Coordinate and align with the corporate Treasury departments of the shareholding companies when needed.Approve and monitor bank transactions, ensuring regulatory and internal policy compliance, including petty cash and credit cards.Coordinate and reconcile treasury activities with accounting and other finance teams.Prepare treasury reports for management, supporting commercial decision-making.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related discipline.6–8 years of experience in treasury, banking, or corporate finance.Proven track record in liquidity management and currency exposure.Experience in handling guarantees, bonds, and contract-related financial instruments.Strong knowledge of international banking practices (especially with Euro transactions).Relationship-building skills with financial institutions and the customer.
